A natural and solidarity commitment

Distilleries

For an oil to be bear the ‘Censo’ label, the distillery must be committed to the approach and be in compliance with the points in the specific specifications.

In the same way as farmers, distillers can also commit to the approach by filling in and signing the commitment form.

Specifications relative to private or cooperative distilleries summarize the requirements to be met.

The points in the specifications mostly cover the points checked by a technical organization, Crieppam: a progress plan is set up with the distiller so that his distillery can be compliant for the following distillation campaign. Three points among the main non-compliant are to be improved.

In order to guarantee traceability, labels to be stuck on the containers (vats, cubitainers, etc.) of Censo essential oils have been sent to the distillers: these labels must only be stuck on products from farms and distilleries committed to Censo and which meet the specifications requirements.

A summary of the Censo batches distilled is drafted by the distillers, on the same principle as the farms sheet.

Good to know: Distilleries committing to the Censo approach can ask for subsidy in order to help them for investment on their sites. For more information, you can contact FranceAgriMer in Volx.
